Three songs are available for listening in the audio player. The first one is "Popcorn", a song that is appropriate for placement in a 30 second commercial. The second song is car chase, a song that would be appropriate for placement a car chase scene in a movie. The third, "Monster Nights Are Sweet" is a wacky song about monsters having a night on the town.

I'm making revisions to some of my songs based upon recommendations from R.C. Bannon. I think "Monster Nights are Sweet" will come out well. My "Turkey Wants to Fly" song needs more work than that., so it will be longer before you see any new results. I still have the old version up of "Monster Nights are Sweet" You can hear the old version by clicking at the top of any of my website pages. I'll post changes as I complete them. Some of them will take me a while to do, but they are worth the time.
I visited the Country Music Hall of Fame. I'm not all that familiar with Country Music, so this was an education for me. In the evening, I decided I needed to see how a submit to the publisher night goes at the Nashville Songwriters Association. I am a member, so attendance is free for me. The genre was Christian music, also not my genre, but I wanted to understand the process. I only stayed for about an hour because I had a reservation at the Listening room, another Nashville music venue.
Today I visited the Nashville Songwriters Association. Before the meeting, I was given a a tour of the facility from the NSAI staff. While waiting, in the member's lounge, for my appointment with R. C. Bannon, I had the good fortune to meet Dan Rivers. He is an amazingly helpful man who showed me lots of books there that can enhance my career.
I had a fantastic meeting with R.C. Bannon. He recommended some changes to 3 of my songs and gave me some good career advice. It was fascinating to hear about his successful career. Thanks R.C.!
After my meeting, I relaxed a bit and then went to the Commodore Grill. It was a benefit for an animal shelter. The performers included Tony Lane and several other songwriters from the current generation and dating back to some who had worked with Hank Williams (the first one!). My thanks to Dan Rivers for recommending the Commodore.
I'm meeting lots of very talented people while here in Nashville. I've talked to and listened to other songwriters from all over the world. Tonight, at the Bluebird cafe, there were songwriters at the table next to me from Australia and from Sweden. The woman from Sweden was one of the performers for the evening. This was aan unsigned songwriters night, people who are not yet household words. The quality of the music for all of the singer/songwriters just blew me away.
